Practical Life
Practical life activities are at the heart of the Montessori method. Through simple, purposeful tasks like scooping, transferring, pouring, washing, and sorting, children build focus, coordination, and confidence. These experiences are not just “busy work” — they are the foundation for academic learning.
HOW PRACTICAL LIFE SUPPORTS READING AND WRITING
🌰 Develops fine-motor control for pencil grip and handwriting
🌰 Builds concentration and sequencing skills (the same skills used when forming letters and words)

Autumn Science
This month, we are diving into the wonders of fall and the amazing life cycle of a pumpkin! Through hands-on exploration, your child will observe, explore, and discover how a tiny seed grows into a beautiful pumpkin. These meaningful experiences connect science, nature, and the real world, and build a strong foundation for curiosity and lifelong learning.

The Power of Practical Life for Toddlers
Even at a young age, practical life activities help toddlers gain control of their movements, feel capable, and build the concentration and confidence they need for school and beyond. Activities like scooping, pouring, and washing support coordination, problem solving, and early math concepts (such as volume, size, and counting).
