February Learning & Activities We will cover topics on United States Presidents, Valentine's Day, love, friendship, sharing and our 100th day of school celebration!
For our 100th day celebration, we will be doing some counting activities, such as counting red hearts from one to ten and counting different objects from one to 100. We will have pajama day to celebrate 100 days of school and students can bring their favorite book for one of their teachers to read to them during the day.
We will celebrate Valentine's Day at school, focusing on love and acts of kindness. Throughout the month we will celebrate love, friendship, and kindness. Our students will participate in making special cards for their families and exchanging treats and friendship cards with classmates to showcase their love for Valentine’s Day. We will work on crafts, like gluing red tissue paper onto white hearts and our Valentine's Day party will surely be the highlight! The NOM faculty extends their heartfelt gratitude to you parents for choosing us to teach your most precious gifts! It is truly an honor. Happy Valentine's Day!
Toddler Learning & Activities
Toddler Learning & Activities Our Toddlers will engage in various activities such as making heart-shaped Play-Doh cookies.
We will focus on culinary activities. We will create heart shapes using Cheerios and pipe cleaners, wash fruits and vegetables, and practice measuring dry ingredients. Additionally we will decorate sugar cookies with icing and sprinkles!
We will focus on practical life skills. Our young ones will engage in activities such as sorting pom-poms by size and color, and transferring objects using scoops and spoons. We will practice transfer activities, where the children scoop hearts from one bowl to another.
We will also continue to use our regular Montessori materials to create a learning experience where your students can move at their own pace and enjoy preparing for kindergarten and beyond through the amazing Montessori method!
