December Newsletter
"Christmas now surrounds us,
Happiness is everywhere,
Hands are busy with many tasks as carols fill the air.”

December Learning & Activities
In the month of December we will learn about celebrations in different parts of the world. We will make beautiful crafts and have art available to help them learn about these celebrations. Children will practice fine motor skills by doing a significant amount of cutting and gluing work. We will learn about the importance of giving to others. Our little friends will also have lots of fun working with many new trays set out centered around the Christmas season using beautiful items to capture their interest. They will learn about the cold winter season and all the joy that is to be had in the winter.
Christmas Music & Program Prep
We will practice songs for our Christmas program, and children will enjoy singing and dancing to Christmas songs with their friends at group time each day.
Special Event: Pajama Day – December 17th
We will have a pajama day on December 17th, and children are encouraged to bring a stuffed toy to snuggle at group time while we read some special Christmas stories we have for our last few days before break!
Montessori Learning & Kindergarten Readiness
We will continue to invite our students to work with us guides on core concepts needed to prepare them for kindergarten with our Montessori materials. We are so thrilled to see students excited about learning and their ability to use the materials to show US how they are mastering their skills learned through our Montessori materials!
Toddler Learning & Activities
Toddlers will be learning all about the Christmas holiday and how to share as we prepare for Christmas. They will learn about the importance of giving to others. Toddlers will have beautiful art available and fun Christmas cookie cutters and play-dough to use their imaginations while making their own creations!
Holiday Trays & Skill Practice
We will have new materials out on trays centered around the Christmas holiday to practice fine motor skills, counting, colors, and shapes. And along with our preschool students, they will be practicing our Christmas songs to prepare for our upcoming program on December 18th!
