April 2026 Newsletter
Dear Families,
Spring is in the air, and we are excited to welcome the month of April with fresh energy, curiosity, and joyful learning!
๐ธ April Learning & Activities ๐ธ
This month, our classroom will be blossoming with hands-on exploration inspired by the beauty of the season. We will be introducing Montessori trays with an Easter theme, carefully designed to build independence, concentration, and fine motor skills. These trays will include activities such as sorting, transferring, matching, and simple practical life exercises using soft spring colors and familiar seasonal objects.
In addition, we will be learning all about baby animals! The children will explore the names of baby animals and their parents, where they live, and how they grow. Through stories, matching activities, and hands-on materials, we will deepen their understanding of the natural world and nurture their sense of wonder.
Our classroom will also focus on:
๐ฑ Observing signs of spring and changes in nature
๐ฃ Expanding vocabulary through themed language activities
๐จ Creative art projects inspired by springtime and animals
๐งบ Practical life skills through seasonal Montessori work
We look forward to a joyful and enriching month filled with discovery and growth!
๐ธ April Toddler Program๐ธ
Happy Spring! April is a wonderful time of growth, discovery, and new beginnings. In our toddler classroom, we will be embracing the season with gentle, hands-on learning experiences that support independence, curiosity, and joy.
This month, our activities will be centered around Easter themes and baby animals, which are always a favorite for our young learners!
Our classroom will feature simple, engaging Montessori trays designed just for toddlers. These will include activities such as:
๐ฃ Transferring small “eggs” with spoons
๐ท Sorting pastel colors
๐งบ Matching baby animals to their parents
๐ฐ Simple puzzles and object-to-picture matching
We will also explore baby animals through songs, books, and sensory play. Children will learn the names and sounds of animals like chicks, lambs, bunnies, and ducklings, helping to build early language skills and connections to the natural world.
Additional April experiences will include:
๐ฑ Outdoor exploration as the weather warms
๐จ Spring-inspired art with soft colors and natural materials
๐ Practical life activities like pouring, scooping, and caring for our classroom
๐ถ Music and movement with seasonal songs
Our goal is to provide a calm, nurturing environment where toddlers can explore at their own pace while building confidence and independence.
We are looking forward to a joyful month of learning and growth!
